Meet the Trainer - Heshima Hardy
Heshima Hardy has more than 15 years of experience in the social services field, in both nonprofit and government roles in the San Francisco Bay Area where she was born and raised. She is currently a Financial Empowerment HUD Certified Housing Counselor with the San Francisco Housing Development Corporation. Previously, she worked at the City & County of San Francisco's Department of Public Health and at community-based Family Resource Centers. She is also the owner of The Love Extension Project, which provides food, clothing, toiletries, and other necessities to individuals and families who are unhoused and in need. She has successfully engaged diverse populations, primarily BIPOC with low to moderate incomes in San Francisco’s Bay View and Western Addition Districts. She has trained on effective outreach to isolated and hard to reach families for the San Francisco Family Support Network.
She earned her A.S. In Health Education and is currently working on completing her B.A. in Consumer and Family Sciences with an emphasis in Child and Family at San Francisco State University. She is a wife and a mother to an amazing 18 year old. She loves being of service and helping others - enjoying random acts of kindness, volunteering, and doula birth work – as well as live music and spending time with family.
