Mental Health First Aid

This training is offered free of charge to AzFRN member organizations and their staff through support from Area Agency on Agency as well as AzFRN Sponsor First Things First. 
Trainers:
Lauren Friedman has been working in the substance abuse prevention field for over 13 years, where she has enjoyed a career working in the non-profit sector. She has provided prevention education to all age groups and has spent the last 8 years working at the Area Agency on Aging, Region One. In 2012, Lauren graduated from the Community Anti-Drug Coalition of America (CADCA) Ambassador Program in Washington D.C. Lauren has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise and Wellness with an emphasis on Health Promotion from Arizona State University. Lauren has performed extensive public-speaking throughout her career. She is a current trainer in both Mental Health First Aid (adult and older adult modules) and safeTALK. Lauren also serves as the Coalition Coordinator for the Maricopa Elder Behavioral Health Advocacy Coalition (MEBHAC) in Phoenix. Lauren finds balance by spending time with family and friends, raising two daughters, traveling, reading and relaxing whenever possible.

Ariana DiGregorio is a Prevention Specialist since July 2020 at the Area Agency on Aging Region One who specializes in medication misuse/abuse and suicide prevention in older adults. Additionally, Ariana is also a Mental Health First Aid Trainer since February 2022. Ariana completed her bachelor’s at Arizona State University in Health Care Coordination with a minor in Family and Human Development and will be completing her Masters in Science in Health Care Delivery on December 2022.
