Moving Beyond Stress & Burnout:
How to Prioritize Self-Care
Thursday, 1/25/18, 9 AM to 12 PM

The 24/7 demands of today’s jobs can leave us stressed out, burned out and unhealthy. The chaotic roles we fill professionally and personally cause stress to pile up quickly. Suffering the effects of burnout (depersonalization, emotional exhaustion and reduced personal accomplishment) greatly affects our job performance. Seeking comfort in food, booze, shopping and shutting down creates a host of other problems. Improving and prioritizing self-care can create career longevity, improve engagement and reignite purpose at work and home. When we take an active role in dealing with stress, we are able to show up as our best selves for our company, community and, most importantly, our loved ones. Join an interactive workshop that includes mindfulness, resilience and positive psychology to walk away with ready-to-use solutions.

Takeaways:
1. Create motivation for change by understanding what stress truly costs us (stop saying that it’s not so bad).
2. Learn to flow with organizational and personal change.
3. Implement techniques to avoid being depleted by toxic situations and overwhelming people.
4. Prioritize and protect your self-care commitments.
